We sat and watched the shipwreck ( narrative lament )
The narrative avoids construction
Lying wounded and praying no remorse
Time pauses for their demise
In the wind their songs echo
Laments of the fallen
Desires of the weak
Half hearted and bitter
The determined placed their shoes on carpeted floors
The sun would not rise and the shadow would veil such sin
The day will not break
In his reign they fear to tremble
For weakness to the ocean
Drink with me he asked
His house burnt to the floor
We sat and watched the ship wrecks
Counting bones on the floor
